Original hand-inked 12-panel Peanuts Sunday comic strip by Charles Schulz, 24 x 17, signed in the lower right corner of the last panel in black ink, "Schulz." In this humorous Peanuts strip, Lucy bombards a coughing Linus with questions, demanding to know: “What’s the matter?” “Did you swallow wrong?” and “Are you choking?!” Frustrated by her nonstop concern, Linus finally snaps: “Stop asking me questions! How can I answer when I’m coughing?” When Lucy then sneezes and Linus politely responds, “Bless you,” she immediately complains: “I hate people who say, ‘Bless you!’ every time you sneeze!” The strip ends with Linus’s wry conclusion: “Brothers and sisters should never be in the same family!” The sixth panel is dated “6-26” and bears a 1983 United Features Syndicate copyright label. The first panel bears the affixed title card with facsimile signature, “Peanuts featuring ‘Good ol' Charlie Brown’ by Schulz.” In fine condition. This strip appeared on June 26, 1983, and was later adapted for the episode segment ‘A Strong Personality’ from the 2014 French animated television series Peanuts, which drew upon a number of classic Lucy-centered Schulz comic strips.
