Description

Highly influential British poet, politician, soldier, and adventurer (1788–1824) who takes a place as the most colorful literary figure of the Romantic era; his works include such classics as Childe Harold's Pilgrimage and Don Juan. Hand-addressed and free-franked mailing panel, 4.5 x 3, addressed and dated by Byron, “March thirty one, To Mr…Strickland, Blake Street, York," and franked in the lower left, "Byron." Stamped "Free" in the upper right. In very good to fine condition, with overall light creasing and soiling.
