Description

Influential English art critic and writer (1819-1900) remembered as a champion of the work of J.M.W. Turner. ALS signed “J. Ruskin,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, December 14, 1877. Handwritten letter to Alfred Harris, in part: "I was greatly delighted by hearing…that you still held at my disposal the little Bradford Hunt. It is one which I set curious value from its associations with the old man, and to me, especially sweet modesty of colour." In fine condition.
