Oscar-nominated American actress (1910-1980) best remembered for her role as Scarlett O'Hara's mother in Gone with the Wind. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 head-and-shoulders photo of the lovely actress as Louise Brigard in the 1938 MGM film The Toy Wife, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Joe, from Barbara O'Neil, Nov. 16th - 58.” Reverse bears an MGM/Clarence S. Bull credit stamp. In fine condition, with some emulsion irregularity in her hair, visible at an angle. Encapsulated by CGC as "Very Fine."
