Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 half-length photo of Jane Darwell holding her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, which she won for her poignant portrayal of the matriarch Ma Joad in the 1940 film adaptation of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "For my dear Maudie and her dogs - all happiness - and my love - ‘Missy,’ Jane Darwell, 1949.” The reverse bears a photography credit stamp for Michael Farr.
