International Olympic Committee badge from the Los Angeles 1932 Olympic Games. Gilt bronze, 40 mm x 40 mm, manufactured by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark. The badge features the Olympics rings over shield and laurel branch, with the legend “Xth Olympiad Los Angeles,” and tablet below engraved, “I.O.C.” Suspended below the badge is a short ribbon in the five colors of the Olympic rings, which exhibits slight fraying; a short white ribbon, split at the end, backs the multicolored one. An extremely scarce Olympic badge as one of just 28 issued.
