Kennedy (1966–1968)."

Provenance: Property of Providencia Paredes, John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Memorabilia Collection, Hantman’s Auctioneers & Appraisers, July 19, 2003.

Jacqueline Kennedy visited Pakistan from March 21–26, 1962, as part of a goodwill tour of India and Pakistan, traveling without President John F. Kennedy and accompanied instead by her sister, Lee Radziwill. She was welcomed by President Mohammad Ayub Khan, visited Lahore and the Khyber Pass area, and received gifts including jewelry and a horse named Sardar. The trip was widely covered by the press and helped present Kennedy as an informal cultural diplomat for the United States.
