Nathan William 'Bill' Davis was wealthy American expatriate and close friend of Ernest Hemingway, who hosted Hemingway and his wife Mary at his estate, "La Consula," near Málaga, Spain, during the summer of 1959. Hemingway used this home as a base to write The Dangerous Summer, often working at a stand-up desk there.
