Clarke,” and dated beneath, “Colombo, 24 Mar 76.” Clarke additionally makes several annotations in his own hand, including a correction to his Colombo address, crossing out the printed street designation and substituting “25 Barnes Pl.,” as well as underlining portions of the text and bracketing the section concerning photographs. The detailed document outlines Clarke's mailing addresses in Ceylon, London, and New York, provides biographical and bibliographical references, discusses his work in television and space exploration, directs inquiries concerning 2001: A Space Odyssey to several published sources, and offers advice to aspiring authors, quoting Ernest Hemingway: “Writing is not a fulltime occupation.” In fine condition.
