Manuscript DS, signed “George R,” one page, 10.75 x 18.5, January 17, 1742/3. Financial decree issued by King George II, in part: "Our will & pleasure is, that this establishment of the Electoral Troops of Hanover in the pay of Great Britain with other charges thereunto belonging, do commence and take place from the 26th day of December 1742, and remain in force to the 25th day of December 1743, both inclusive; being three hundred sixty five days, and that no new charge be added thereunto without being first communicated to us, our High Treasurer, or Commissioner of our Treasury for the time being." Signed at the head in ink by King George II, and countersigned at the conclusion by three officials. In very good to fine condition, with small tears, and light toning, to the edges.
