Desirable 7˝ UK Apple Records one-sided acetate pressing of Ringo Starr's classic "Back Off Boogaloo" in stereo (Apple R5944, 1972), recorded in August of 1971 and featuring Ringo (on drums), Pete Ham and George Harrison (on guitar), Klaus Voorman (on bass), and Gary Wright (keyboards). According to Ringo, glam rocker Marc Bolan of T-Rex inspired him to write the song after an evening of Marc continuing to say 'back off' and 'boogaloo.' The acetate disc bears a green-and-white Apple Corps Ltd. label with typed notations: "Back Off Boogaloo, Ringo Starr."
