ALS signed “Paul W. Tibbets,” one page both sides, 7.25 x 7.5, May 2, 1985. Handwritten letter regarding the atomic bomb, in full: "From Sept. 1944 until August 1945 I had plenty of time to consider the bombs and their potential—when I dropped the one on Hiroshima, I had a pretty good idea of its magnitude. Drop one again?—If you could give me the same conditions that existed at that time (1941–1945)—I would not hesitate." In fine condition, with a clipped corner.
