White adjustable baseball cap by American Needle featuring the Mercury Seven logo embroidered on the crown, signed on the bill and crown in black ink and felt tip by five Mercury astronauts: Alan Shepard, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Scott Carpenter, and Wally Schirra. The hat is also signed by Betty Grissom, the widow of Gus Grissom, comedian Bill Dana (who played the astronaut José Jiménez), and one other. Stitched text to the back and side read: “U.S. Space Walk of Fame” and “Mercury Monument Dedication, May 12th, 1995.” In very good to fine condition, with fading to Cooper and Dana (and a stain touching Dana as well).
