Description

‘Splashdown’ cover with a stamped cachet honoring the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Recovery Force for the Apollo 17 mission, postmarked aboard the USS Ticonderoga on the landing date of December 19, 1972, signed in black ink, “Gene Cernan” and “Ron Evans,” and in black felt tip, “H. H. Schmitt.” The reverse flap is signed in pencil, “From my personal collection, Ed Gibson, Skylab III (SL-4).” In very fine condition. Accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity from Gibson.
