Description

Scottish author and dramatist (1860-1937) best known for the classic children's play Peter Pan. ALS signed “J.M.B.,” one page both sides, 5.5 x 7, Adelphi Terrace House letterhead, August 14, 1931. Handwritten letter to Clare Mackail, in part: "It is as good to have a letter from you as a visit from other people, so my delight is great at receiving one…That luncheon…I would work it myself…eggs and bacon are all I can accomplish." In fine condition, with two trivial spots of toning. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Barrie's own hand.
