Description

Partly-printed DS in French, one page, 8.5 x 10.75, February 22, 1963. Engagement contract between Arthur Mathonet and Edith Piaf, arranging for a series of "12 concerts minimum" at the Ancienne Belgique in April–May 1963. Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Piaf. Includes a second contract for the engagement signed by her husband and co-star, Théo Sarapo. In very good to fine condition, with small tears and paper loss to the edges, not affecting the signature; the Sarapo contract has a larger tear to the upper left. Accompanied by an original concert program from the engagement.
