Two items related to Wally Schirra's moderator duties with Walter Cronkite during the televised coverage of the Apollo 11 moon-landing, including: a glossy 10 x 8 photo of Schirra and Cronkite at a newsdesk, with the latter holding up a Daily News newspaper, signed in felt tip by Schirra; and an ALS from NASA legendary Public Affairs Officer Julian Scheer, addressed to Schirra, which reads: “Walter Cronkite you are not but a damn good second you are. You look and sound first rate. Julian Scheer." Scheer includes a clip of the CBS News ratings for the Apollo 11 launch day. In overall fine condition.
