Rarely seen report entitled "Request for and Homologation of World Records, Manned Orbital Flight," 138 pages, bound in a 9 x 11.5 prong clip pressboard report cover, signed on the title page in black felt tip by the Apollo 9 commander, "Jim McDivitt." The report "constitutes an application for six official records under the sanction of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale. The records sought as a result of the United States of America Apollo 9 mission are one world record for extravehicular activity and five world class records for group flight, linked and unlinked, related to duration, distance, and vehicle mass." In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Novaspace, certifying the report as being from McDivitt's personal collection.
