(Walt Disney Studios, 1952) Original production key master background set-up from the animated short film Susie the Little Blue Coupe, which shows the little car freezing and parked outside on a cold winter’s night, her hood and roof covered with a blanket and scarf, her antenna drooping, and icicles hanging from her nose. The cel is placed on a hand-painted production background from the exact same scene of the film, which places Susie under a street lamp and next to a snowy curb and fire hydrant. The character image measures 7 x 5.25, with a mat opening of 11 x 8.5. Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 17.5 x 15. In fine condition, with a small area of lifted paint to the far right of her shadow. An impressive key master set-up from a low-point in Susie’s life and ownership.
