Wilbur Wright pays the lawyer who handled the historic 'flying machine' patent

The Winters National Bank check, 8.25 x 3.25, filled out and signed by Wright, "Wright Cycle Co., W.W.," payable to H. A. Toulmin for $39.50, January 16, 1907. In fine condition, with a cancellation hole in the signature line. Accompanied by a British postcard depicting an illustration of the Wright Bros. Biplane."

Harry Aubrey Toulmin (1858–1942) was the lawyer based in Springfield, Ohio, who wrote the 'flying machine' patent application that resulted in the patent granted to Dayton inventors Wilbur and Orville Wright on May 22, 1906.
