World War II–dated TLS, signed "Dwight D. Eisenhower," one page, 6 x 8, Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Force letterhead, August 14, 1944. Letter to Mrs. Alexander Good of Westphalia, Missouri, in fill: "I was indeed delighted to get your letter and to hear that everyone in your village is doing his duty toward furthering the war effort. It is most encouraging to me to get a letter such as yours, because it is additional evidence to me that we are all fighting together for the defeat of Nazi tyranny." In very good to fine condition, with light creasing.
