Description

Russian revolutionary, politician, diplomat, and Marxist theoretician (1872–1952) who was the first woman in history to be a cabinet minister, serving as the People's Commissar for Welfare in Vladimir Lenin's government. TLS in Russian, signed “A. Kollontai,” one page, 8 x 11, December 21, 1944. Letter requesting permission for Soviet mission personnel stationed in Sweden to send relief packages to their relatives back in the Soviet Union. In very good to fine condition, with wear to the right edge.
