TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, Office of Sousa and His Band letterhead, August 30, 1926. Letter to Orrion E. Dunlap, Jr., radio editor for the New York Times, in full: "The radio's power to educate and entertain the public is without limit. For an invention that of necessity cannot give visual personality, it's achievements are remarkable. In my opinion, it has come to stay forever; and, if it pays a proper reward to the composers whose works it uses, its life will not only be long, but exceedingly merry." In fine condition.
From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
