Addressed from Milan and marked ‘Private,’ a letter to Pasquale Tempesta, the Inspector General of Public Security at the Vatican, in full (translated): “My Secretary, who knows Dr. Marcello Monarca, secretary to the Chief of Police of Milan, very well, asks me to present to you the enclosed memorandum concerning the person indicated. I know that what is requested in the memorandum is a very delicate matter, for which reason I allow myself only to address a simple request for your consideration in whatever way you deem most appropriate.” In fine condition.
