He served as Soviet Foreign Minister after serving as Deputy Foreign Minister under Vyacheslav Molotov, and also headed the Institute of State and Law of the Soviet Academy of Sciences. World War II-dated DS in Cyrillic, one page, 7 x 8.25, September 17, 1941. Issued from the ‘People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs’ in Moscow, Russia, a document sent to A. D. Krutikov, ‘the Deputy of the People's Commissar of Foreign Trade,’ requesting that he comply with the requests of the American and English Embassies to leave at their disposal the American and English delegations in the National Hotel and to collect payment for the area which they will occupy. Signed at the conclusion in blue pencil by Andrey Vyshinsky. In fine condition, with trimmed edges and light toning from prior display.
