Handwritten letter to a gentleman, in part: "Many thanks for your kind wishes & affectionate expressions for my health & happiness. The same to you who may naturally expect many happy years—for myself although wishing to live as long as I can benefit my fellow men here, I am also ready to leave this work when my time comes & I for not expect that time to be far off." In fine condition, with scattered faint foxing.
