ALS in German, signed “A. Einstein," one page, 8.5 x 11, May 1, 1926. Untranslated handwritten letter by Albert Einstein, in which he recommends an archaeologist for a Rockefeller scholarship after the International Institute of Intellectual Cooperation in Paris was forced to sever relations with him due to a youthful transgression. In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, primarily in the margins.
