ALS in French, signed "Marc Chagall," one page, 6.25 x 8.25, May 12, [no year but circa 1920s-30s]. Handwritten letter to a gentleman, sent from Chagall's home at "3 Allée des Pins, Boulogne." Chagall acknowledges his correspondent's letter and explains that he has given a printing plate to Mr. Schwarzenberg. In very good to fine condition, with edge toning, and two file holes. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from University Archives.
