Description

Prolific American inventor (1873-1961) often referred to as 'the father of radio' for his pioneering work in wireless telegraphy. TLS signed “Lee,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 23, 1956. Letter to Carl Haverlin of Broadcast Music, Inc., in full: “Answering yours of the 18th, we are glad to know that Virginia is better and that your daughter's burned arm has been healed. That must have been a most excruciating experience. We trust that Carolinda is enjoying her honeymoon to the limit. We are both well and trust that you people are the same at this time.” In fine condition, with three small ovals of toning along the right edge.

From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
