Developer of a bodybuilding method and its associated exercise program (1892–1972) that was best known for a landmark advertising campaign featuring Atlas's name and likeness. TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, March 26, 1965. Letter to Robert L. Marx, in full: “I was indeed very pleased to receive your wonderful photograph. Also I want to thank you for your kind note – concise and to the point. May I have your permission to use your photo and letter so that other men may benefit from Dynamic-Tension?” In fine condition, with a small tear to the top edge. Accompanied by a period nine-page lesson packet from the “Private Office” of Charles Atlas, which begins: “We Now Learn the Types of Foods and Which Ones Give Health, Power and Great Nerve Energy.”
