Anne Louise Germaine de Stael-Holstein (1766–1817), known as Madame de Stael, was a Swiss author who played an integral part in directing the literary tastes of Europeans at the turn of the 19th century. ALS in French, signed “M. de Stael,” one page, 4.5 x 5.5, no date. Handwritten letter sending her correspondent a ticket. In very good condition, with a small hole to the left edge, and irregular overall toning.
