ALS in French, signed “Degas,” four pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, no date. Handwritten letter to a friend, in part (translated): "I realized I had neglected the two little old ladies, so a package went out today from Bon Marché for them to share. There is some clothing, shirts for working in the hen house and garden aprons. But, Zoe pointed out to me, I have some lining. If you want anything better, don't be embarrassed to tell me, dear ladies. Just tell Gabriel who will be coming. Hugs for the women and handshakes for the two men. We are having nothing but miserable weather here. I hope that there won't be another military plot to eliminate, in the Serbian fashion, everybody in your valley." In fine condition.
