Description

Uncommon German-language book or Sammelbilderalbum (collectible picture album) entitled 'Zeppelin-Weltfahrten,' edited by H. Luschnath. Dresden, Germany: Bilderstelle Lohse, 1933. Softcover, 50 pages, 13.5 x 9.5, Volume I of a two-volume set documenting Zeppelin history, containing a 'collection of 264 genuine silver bromide images and a metal foil image of the World Flight commemorative coin.' Distributed through German cigarette companies as part of a collectible picture-card series, the album was factually checked by senior specialists at Luftschiffbau-Zeppelin GmbH in Friedrichshafen am Bodensee and documents the history of Zeppelin world flights—from the earliest airship experiments of 1899 to the flights of the LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin in 1932. In fine condition, with wear and stains to the covers, and some creasing and foxing to the opening pages.
