Description

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1742–1798), and one of only six men who signed both the Declaration and the United States Constitution. Partly-printed DS, endorsed on the reverse, “Wilson,” one page, 13.25 x 4, July 22, 1775. A Cumberland County legal document regarding the award of "Nineteen pounds ten Shillings & seven pence Lawful money of Pennsylvania" to Elijah and Abner Wickersham for damages sustained. Signed at the conclusion by John Agnew, and endorsed on the reverse by James Wilson, above which are docketing notations headed "October Term 1775." In very good to fine condition, with minor edge chipping, and tape reinforcement to the central vertical fold.
