Partly-printed DS as president, signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 15.75 x 12.75, January 23, 1890. President Harrison appoints Samuel H. Greene as "Postmaster at Newmarket, in the County of Rockingham, State of New Hampshire." The red ribbon and gold foil seal affixed at the lower left remain intact. Signed at the conclusion in ink by President Benjamin Harrison, and countersigned by Postmaster General John Wanamaker. Impressively archivally double-matted and framed with an oversized photograph of Harrison's inauguration to an overall size of 27.5 x 30. In fine condition.
