Description

Original vintage circa 1970s matte-finish 11 x 14 silver gelatin photograph of Marilyn Monroe in a vibrant up-close pose during a trip to Long Island’s Tobey Beach, originally taken in 1949 by photographer Andre de Dienes and printed from the original negative during the 1970s. Reverse bears the credit stamp of Andre de Dienes. In fine condition, with a few tiny surface spots. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, certifying it as an authentic "Type II" photograph. In 1945, de Dienes became the first photographer to shoot the young Norma Jeane as a professional model. His photos of Monroe appeared on over 23 magazine covers worldwide from 1945 to 1949. Photos by de Dienes remain highly desirable.
