British actor (1885-1946) best known for his roles in such horror films as Mark of the Vampire and Son of Frankenstein and as Moriarty to Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 Monogram Pictures publicity photo of Atwill for the 1934 film Beggars in Ermine, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Ed, Sincerely, Lionel Atwill." In very good to fine condition, with two thin diagonal creases.
