Unusual British mailing cover from 1840, carrying an affixed two-margin 'Penny Black' postage stamp—the world's first adhesive postage stamp—flown on the International Space Station, postmarked on board the ISS on March 28, 2015, the day of Soyuz TMA-16M docking, when Mikhail Korniyenko and Scott Kelly began their one-year stay at the ISS. Signed on the upper flap in black ballpoint by Korniyenko and Tim Peake, who arrived on the ISS with Soyuz TMA-19M. In fine condition. Notably, the 'Penny Black' celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2015.
