A museum dedicated to the art of intelligence gathering and to the men and women who have quietly enhanced our security is a most worthwhile endeavor. I commend you and your colleagues for working so diligently to develop it.
As a naval aviator, an ambassador, and a public servant, I depended on the intelligence information gathered by the professionals in the field. Many times I marveled at its accuracy and wondered how these individuals managed to obtain such detailed information. As Director of Central Intelligence, I became a provider of intelligence data for others to use, and was proud to serve with the many brave people who work to obtain that information in order to ensure our precious freedoms.
