(MGM Studios, 1966) Original production cel featuring Max the dog from How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which is signed in black felt tip by Chuck Jones. The cel shows the faithful pooch being hung by his scruff, undoubtedly by the unseen hand of his master, the Grinch. Image measures 2 x 5.25, with a mat opening of 11.25 x 9.25. The lower left of the cel bears a Linda Jones Enterprises seal. Double-matted to an overall size of 18.5 x 16.5; the reverse of the mat is signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, “For Ted & Dawn, Chuck Jones, 12/3/92.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Linda Jones, who identifies the production cel as “CJ 75-038-009.”
