This signature dates to three days after Queen Elizabeth II made a state visit to the United States with her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, which lasted from May 14 to 26, 1991. After visiting President Bush in the White House and addressing a joint session of Congress, the Queen visited Miami and Tampa in Florida, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston in Texas, and Lexington in Kentucky. The visit marked the third time she undertook a state visit to the United States as monarch, and it was her fourth official visit overall.
