Hungarian-born American composer (1997-1951) best known for his musicals and operettas, particularly The Student Prince, The Desert Song, and The New Moon. AMQS by Sig Romberg on a light green 6 x 4.5 album page, which is signed in black ink, “Sigmund Romberg,” who adds two bars of music from his love song ‘One Alone,’ which was composed by Romberg with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and Otto Harbach for their operetta The Desert Song. Collector’s notation dates the signature to January 2, 1935. In fine condition, with a light central vertical fold.
