Swiss-born American composer (1880–1959) best known for his large-scale, often Jewish-inflected chamber, orchestral, and choral works. AMQS by Ernest Bloch on an off-white 6 x 4.5 album page, which is signed and inscribed in black ink, “For the daughter! Ernest Bloch,” who adds four bars of music below. Collector’s notation dates the signature to April 14, 1934. In fine condition, with a faint central vertical fold.
