Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 17 x 14, March 20, 1883. President Arthur appoints Alba M. Tucker as “Postmaster at Elkhart, in the County of Elkhart, State of Indiana." Nicely signed at the conclusion by Chester A. Arthur and countersigned by Postmaster General Frank Hatton. The gold foil seal and red ribbon affixed at the lower left remain intact. In very good to fine condition, with some toning and minor edge chipping.
