Ballpoint signature, "To Maureen, from Cassius Clay,” on the reverse of an off-white 2 x 1 name badge card; the original recipient's name is typed on the other side: "Maureen Yemm, ARC Jr. Volunteer." The card is held in its original metal pinback badge holder, though easily removed. In fine condition.
Consignor notes: 'My late mother was a Red Cross candy striper volunteer at a local VA Medical Center in the early 1960s. Famous personalities would come to visit the veterans. One day Cassius Clay came and my mother wanted an autograph but the only piece of paper she could find for him to sign was the back of her paper badge.'
