Two months after Apollo 8, President Nixon accepts the resignation of the "Executive Secretary of the National Aeronautics and Space Council"

TLS as president, one page, 6.75 x 9, White House letterhead, February 5, 1969. Letter to Edward C. Welsh, accepting his resignation from the position of executive secretary of the National Aeronautics and Space Council. In full: "I have your letter of January fourteenth submitting your resignation as Executive Secretary of the National Aeronautics and Space Council and as you request, I accept it effective immediately. I take this occasion to express my appreciation of the services you have rendered our country in this capacity. You have my warm thanks and best wishes for the future." In very fine condition.
