Three color glossy 9.5 x 7 photographs of the Apollo 14 astronauts posing in their white space suits against the mission insignia, each affixed to an 11.5 x 9.5 mount, individually signed and inscribed on the mounts in ink, "To Mrs. James Fletcher, with my personal regards—Alan Shepard, Rear Admiral, USN," "To Mrs. James Fletcher—With sincere appreciation, Ed Mitchell," and "To Mrs. James Fletcher with best regards, Stu A. Roosa." Each is archivally matted and framed to an overall size of 15.75 x 14. In overall fine condition.
James C. Fletcher (1919–1991) served twice as administrator of NASA, from 1971 to 1977, overseeing the success of the science-oriented Apollo 'J' missions, and from 1986 to 1989, helping the agency to recover from the tragedy of the Space Shuttle Challenger accident.
