"We did interviews for all the top Radio, T.V, + Newspapers, and found out that ‘Cloud’ was No. 1. in America, which was a welcome bit of news."

Partial ALS from Bill Wyman to New Musical Express, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, Sheraton Hotel and Motor Inn (Rochester, New York) letterhead, November 1, 1965. The first page of a handwritten letter from the Rolling Stones guitarist to the British music newspaper New Musical Express, sent one day after the Rolling Stones arrived in the USA for their third tour of the country. In full: "As I write this letter we are starting to prepare to leave the hotel for tonight's show at Rochester (N.Y. State). We left London on Wednesday after a 4 hour delay on our flight to N.Y. Shopping came next, & we all went to a cloths warehouse and bought suits & jackets like mad. Charlie was top scorer with 8 suits & 2 jackets. Second was records & record players to pass our spare time away within the hotels. The evening passed with a private showing of the film ‘The Wild Ones’ starring Marlon Brando, which was very popular with all of us, & then to bed! Friday morning we left for the airport + flew out to Montreal, Canada in the private plane we have hired. Went straight to the show after we…” The following page, or pages, is not present. In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
