ALS, one page, 6 x 6.5, Easton Glebe letterhead, April 16, 1930. Handwritten letter to Mrs. Tufnell, in part: "Why did I swear & curse & kick at you…I don't know. The devil? Please send a pendent & apologetic man another." Matted and framed with three comic book adaptations of Wells's works—The Time Machine, The War of the Worlds, and The First Men on the Moon—to an overall size of 24.5 x 31. The letter itself is In fine condition; one of the comic books has become detached within the frame, but could easily be re-mounted if desired.
