ALS, one page, 6 x 13, September 5, 1980. Handwritten letter to Bob Borgan, referring to his television series Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World. In part: "My first program went fine & we hope the whole country will be watching me the next 12 weeks! My VHS player takes only normal speed tapes (up to 3 hrs) (or maybe more but no longer ones are available here). I'll be back in Colombo by the 15, so please drop me a note saying what it will cost to cover all your expenses…Sorry I can't send you any of my tapes!! But let me know if you do get hold of a multistandard (NTSC & PAL) player. In great haste—I'm doing up to six radio & TV shows a day… a TV unit arrives in half an hour & I've not had time to dress or shave yet." Addressed on the reverse in Clarke's hand, incorporating a second signature as part of the return address. In very good to fine condition, with rough edges, light scattered creases, and a couple tiny stains.
